VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Victim Advocates:
The Victim Center utilizes a team of volunteer advocates to provide assistance to victims 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. These volunteers will offer emotional support and crisis intervention, accompany victims to the hospital after an assault, assist with Ex Parte Orders of Protection, and offer other advocacy services as-needed. Volunteers must be 21 years or older and must be able to pass a criminal background check. There is no cost to participate, and all volunteers are required to attend one of the agency's advocate trainings.
Other:
The Victim Center also needs volunteers to serve in a variety of capacities, from fundraising and event planning, to participating on its Board of Directors.
