This is a highly visible position that is charged with creating and implementing both school-based and community-based educational programs that focus on preventing violent or sexual crimes. Daily travel to regional schools required. Occasional overnight travel for annual conference(s) may also be required.
This is a professional position that requires excellent public speaking and training skills and adaptability to a wide variety of audiences and presentation settings. This position serves as a “face” for The Victim Center and represents the agency in public settings in a regular basis. Related responsibilities include curriculum development, outcome measurement, and relationship-building. In addition, this position is responsible for crisis intervention as needed, such as when audience members may disclose victimization, and must maintain strict confidentiality and documentation procedures.
