Development Manager
Position Summary: The Development Manager is responsible for fundraising campaigns, events, donor relations, corporate sponsorships, and networking. This position ensures the organization has a necessary donor base and donations to fulfill the mission and to advance The Victim Center’s mission within southwest Missouri.
Work Location: The Victim Center is located at 815 W Tampa Street, Springfield, MO 65802. Some work-from-home arrangements may be available after the initial training period.
Employment Status: This is a non-exempt, full-time, and salaried position.
Work Hours: Hours will be worked primarily between 8:00 am-6:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Some alternative hours related to deadlines and events will be required, including occasional evening and weekend events.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Reports to: Executive Director
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Two years’ experience in non-profit fundraising or three years in sales, marketing, or related field.
• Event planning and management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and working knowledge of social media platforms.

Victim Advocate and Crisis Hotline Coordinator (Part-Time)
Position Summary: The part-time Victim Advocate and Crisis Hotline Coordinator is an advocate position primarily dedicated to providing direct crisis intervention, safety planning, personal advocacy, agency/partner referrals, follow-up support, and court support to primary and secondary victims of violent and/or sexual crimes.
This position also assists the Director of Advocacy in creating the 24-hour crisis response hotline schedule and with communication to internal and external constituents regarding the hotline, volunteer program, and after-hours staffing.
Work Location: The Victim Center, 815 W Tampa Street, Springfield, MO 65802 with some hours being remote after initial training period. Occasional in-person response to crisis calls may include locations such as area hospitals and law enforcement agencies.
Employment Status: This is a part-time hourly position.
Work Hours: This position will work a regular schedule of 20-28 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Specific days and hours will be set upon hire. Additional hours on weekends may be required or permitted on occasion.
Reports to: Director of Advocacy
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience in a related field
• At least 1 year working in an advocacy-related field associated with helping victims of violent or sexual crimes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
• Reliable transportation during the work week and to report to work each day.
• Ability to pass a national criminal background check and a Child Abuse and Neglect investigative background check.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time interchangeably.
• Ability to lift and carry ten pounds (such as training materials, laptops, and supplies)

Children’s Therapist (Part-Time)
Position Summary: This is a professional clinical position that requires training and experience in therapeutic techniques effective for children crime victims. This position will provide primarily individual and family counseling. Occasional crisis intervention, support groups, psychoeducational classes, and court advocacy may also be required. Caseload will primarily
include ages 11 and under, but up to age 20 as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining appropriate documentation, working with parents/guardians regarding their child’s goals, practicing ethical best-practice standards, and working with a clinical team.

Employment Status: This is a part-time hourly position.
Work Hours: Set schedule of 18-24 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 8 am – 6 pm.
Reports to: Clinical Director
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or clinical psychology from an accredited college or university
• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor, or LMSW or PLPC license, and working toward full licensure as a LCSW or LPC.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail platform, and Zoom
• Reliable transportation during the work week and to report to work each day, and for performing essential job functions at the office and occasional off-site locations.
• Ability to pass a national criminal background check and a Child Abuse and Neglect investigative background check.
• Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds (such as training materials, laptops, and supplies)
• Ability to play with young children during individual therapy sessions, which includes bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting.
